Une forme de carbone moins chère. Le carbone 12K Plain n’est pas aussi solide que le 3k Plain, ce qui explique un prix inférieur d’environ 20%.

Une couche de carbone
Souvent, les fabricants présentent les chaussures carbone de façon trompeuse. Par exemple, la base de la chaussure peut être en plastique injecté, en nylon ou en fibre de verre, et généralement recouverte d’une seule couche de fibre de carbone. Malheureusement, quand tu achètes une chaussure et que tu vois qu’elle a une base carbone, il y a de fortes chances que seule la couche extérieure soit en carbone.

Carbone unidirectionnel
Diverses chaussures sont commercialisées comme étant en carbone unidirectionnel. Pourtant, beaucoup de ces chaussures utilisent du carbone injecté dans le plastique et appellent cela du carbone unidirectionnel. Nous estimons par conséquent qu’il s’agit d’un mauvais usage de la terminologie. Par exemple, chez Bont, carbone unidirectionnel signifie fibre de carbone dont tous les brins vont dans la même direction.

Fibre de verre argentée
Beaucoup de chaussures utilisent une base en plastique injecté contenant quelques particules de carbone. Ces chaussures ont aussi généralement une seule couche de fibre de verre argentée comme couche extérieure. Les fabricants annoncent donc de la ‘fibre de carbone’ pour ces chaussures. Ils ont le droit d’employer ce terme parce qu’il y a de la poussière de carbone dans le moule plastique, sous la couche extérieure en fibre de verre. Mais le tissu tissé en fibre de verre à l’extérieur n’est pas du carbone. Avant tout, souviens-toi : la fibre de carbone est toujours noire.

100% composite
Qu’est-ce que le 100% composite ? Ce terme peut désigner à peu près n’importe quoi. La question à poser face à une chaussure composite est donc : un composite de quoi ? En bref, une chaussure composite est généralement un composite nylon-fibre de verre.

Monocoque
Une chaussure monocoque, c’est quand le carbone est directement stratifié sur le chausson. Malheureusement, certaines entreprises appellent « chaussure monocoque » une coque carbone avec une coque de talon intégrée ; ce n’en est pas une.

En résumé, méfie-toi des entreprises qui sautent dans le train de la technologie carbone et utilisent des mots-clés pour vendre leur produit. Surtout, fais tes recherches et sois attentif à ce que tu achètes. Nous espérons que cela t’aidera dans ton choix de chaussure carbone.

Durolite est un matériau extrêmement résistant et léger qui encaisse les petits chocs sans se rayer. Durolite existe aussi dans une grande variété de couleurs et en trois finitions : mate, brillante et métallisée. Enfin, Durolite fait partie des produits vegan de Bont.

Les œillets Bont ont une large tête, qui répartit la pression sur une plus grande surface pour éviter les gênes. À l’inverse, de petits œillets concentrent la pression sur une petite zone et peuvent faire mal.

Eyelets

Fabriqué en interne en EVA thermoformable, le Bont Footbed est la première pièce d’une chaussure posée sur la forme. Pour qu’il conserve son extrême légèreté et son caractère thermoformable, le Footbed affiche une dureté de 65A et seulement 3mm d’épaisseur.

Fabriquer les patins à la main, de l’intérieur vers l’extérieur, est une méthode que Bont conserve et dont la marque est extrêmement fière. Ce procédé de fabrication demande beaucoup plus de savoir-faire et de temps que les autres. Et surtout, c’est ce qui permet aux patins Bont d’être leaders du secteur en matière de performance. Il en résulte toutefois un coût de production plus élevé que celui des méthodes de construction courantes.

Nous continuons de développer et d’affiner notre processus de fabrication pour maintenir la meilleure qualité de nos produits. Par exemple, des procédés comme l’utilisation de caissons à vide génériques pour la cuisson du carbone ont été remplacés. Aujourd’hui, pour la cuisson du carbone, nous utilisons des méthodes comme l’enroulement sous pression. L’enroulement sous pression fournit quatre atmosphères de pression, contre une atmosphère dans le thermoformage sous vide traditionnel.

Matte Dry Carbon Base

Chez Bont, nous produisons des patins haut de gamme selon une méthode que nous appelons la construction monocoque. Ce procédé demande beaucoup plus de savoir-faire et de temps, ce qui entraîne des coûts bien supérieurs à ceux des méthodes de fabrication de patins classiques. Mais c’est cette méthode qui permet à notre gamme de patins de dominer le marché en matière de performance.

Quand le chausson et la peau d’une chaussure ont été collés sur une base préfabriquée, on parle de chaussure en deux pièces. Sur une chaussure en deux pièces, une grande partie des coutures est purement esthétique. Les coutures n’ont donc aucun rôle structurel. Elles sont positionnées avant la fabrication de la chaussure. Ainsi, une chaussure en deux pièces peut miser sur l’esthétique pour ses coutures.

Les coutures des chaussures monocoques Bont ne sont pas décoratives. Elles cousent la peau extérieure au matériau anti-étirement qui est collé au carbone.

Cette chaussure est conçue pour des athlètes de haut niveau : le rembourrage est donc fin, dense et un peu exigeant. En revanche, cela donne un patin ultra léger et réactif. La mousse à mémoire de forme à cellules fermées utilisée ne retient pas l’eau. Si tu cherches plus de confort, choisis l’une de nos options de rembourrage plus souple.

Padding

Chez Bont, nous menons des travaux de développement de résine depuis plus de 45 ans. Nous avons formulé une résine à la fois extrêmement rigide et thermoformable à basse température. De plus, un temps de durcissement rapide est essentiel pour nos besoins. Nous sommes aussi l’un des seuls fabricants de chaussures à développer nos résines en interne.

Notre résine ramollit dès 60°C (140°F), la température la plus basse du secteur. Tu peux donc réchauffer notre résine autant de fois que nécessaire. Autrement dit, tu peux chauffer ta chaussure et la mouler facilement à ton pied. Après le chauffage, laisse ta chaussure prendre et refroidir pour obtenir ton moulage sur mesure.

L’époxy, ou polyépoxyde, est un polymère époxyde thermodurcissable qui durcit lorsqu’il est mélangé à un catalyseur ou à un durcisseur. Nous contrôlons la polymérisation, appelée durcissement, par la température et le choix des composés de résine et de durcisseur. Le processus peut prendre de quelques minutes à plusieurs heures.

La quantité de durcisseur ajoutée à la résine dépend de façon critique de la température de l’air et du taux d’humidité. C’est pourquoi nous avons un ordinateur qui mélange la résine et le durcisseur. Cet ordinateur dose la résine après avoir mesuré la température de l’air et l’humidité.

La plupart des fabricants utilisent un procédé connu dans l’industrie sous le nom de pre-preg. Un procédé qui consiste à « pré-imprégner » la fibre de carbone de résine.

Avec le pre-preg, dans quasiment toutes les applications, c’est le fabricant de fibre de carbone qui choisit la résine. C’est un peu le principe de la chaussure unique pour tous. Le fabricant de chaussures n’a aucun moyen de modifier la résine personnaliser les exigences de thermoformabilité des chaussures modernes. C’est pourquoi de nombreux concurrents ont besoin de températures élevées pour rendre leurs chaussures thermoformables. Souvent, la moulabilité de la chaussure reste limitée, même à ces températures élevées.

La Vaypor est cousue par un couturier expert qui n’a pas d’autre rôle que la couture. Contrairement à la plupart des chaussures du marché qui utilisent des coutures esthétiques, les coutures des chaussures en ligne Bont ont une véritable fonction et cousent la peau extérieure à la chaussure elle-même. Résultat : moins d’étirement et une chaussure qui dure plus longtemps.

La languette du patin en ligne Vaypor a plusieurs atouts. Elle est thermoformable, donc elle peut être chauffée au four et moulée à ton pied, mais elle se moulera aussi à ton pied avec la seule chaleur de ton corps. Elle a une ventilation pour laisser sortir l’air chaud de la chaussure, un pratique repère en velcro pour empêcher la languette de bouger, et une mousse fine et légère qui protège malgré tout ton pied des lacets.

Le protège-pointe TPU Bont protège l’avant de la chaussure de patin de vitesse en ligne des chocs et des petites rayures.

TPU Toe Protector

Le Bont Upper, la partie supérieure de la chaussure, est léger, collé et cousu sur la chaussure. Nous perçons les trous à la main à travers l’Upper et le chausson pour la ventilation. Les boucles et les sangles sont fixées pour que ton pied soit tiré vers le bas et poussé vers l’arrière. Enfin, nous nettoyons l’excédent de colle et la chaussure est prête à patiner. Pour être jugée prête à l’action, la chaussure doit passer seize étapes de contrôle qualité indépendant. Résultat : nous t’offrons le meilleur rapport résistance/poids du marché.

Les scientifiques ont prouvé que des pieds plus frais peuvent améliorer la performance. Dans cette chaussure, nous avons intégré une languette ventilée et le protège-orteils en TPU. Cela aide à faire circuler l’air et à refroidir tes pieds.
